The Sterling Style Academy is the Ivy League of Image Consultant Training. Our founder, internationally recognized image consultant Michelle T. Sterling, AICI, is a firm believer in combining a first-rate image, fashion and style education with hands-on training and practical application of case studies. As a graduate of Wellesley College, Ms. Sterling’s esteemed fellow alumni include Hillary Rodham Clinton, Madeleine Korbel Albright, Diane Sawyer, and Madame Chiang Kai-Shek. She is a former investment banker in the Mergers & Acquisition Group for Banc of America Securities and is affiliated with several fashion houses including Giorgio Armani, Cartier and Salvatore Ferragamo. This education combined with her career experience has equipped Ms. Sterling with the market savvy to address the needs of clients from A-Level corporate executives to those with the most discerning eye for fashion trends and luxury brands.

Our students enroll in any of our ten training programs because they have the innate desire to help people, wish to hone their natural talent for fashion and style, and possess the drive to achieve success and recognition in their industry. Therefore we strive to provide our students with the most innovative and dynamic image consultant training that is responsive to pop-culture and fashion trends but focuses on the enduring practices and theories which define style. As a result, we are one of the leading producers of top-notch image consultants worldwide.

The Sterling Style Academy is committed to academic excellence. We encourage the development of our undergraduates and mentor our alumni to hone their oral and written communication and creative skills so that they are prepared to promote themselves in the global marketplace. Furthermore we instill confidence in our students to approach new situations and to make critical decisions during their image consultations. These skills are essential in becoming an expert image consultant in this growing marketplace.

Faculty to Student Ratio
We are committed to student development and ensure one faculty member for every ten students. The class sizes range from 3 to 30 and large classes routinely break into small interactive groups under the direction of a faculty member. The low student-faculty ratio provides students with an optimal interactive and educational environment in which they can learn from their peers as well as cultivate their creative styling abilities.

Graduate Success
As our student body is comprised of highly-motivated, entrepreneurial individuals from around the globe, 85% of our graduates launch their own businesses or leverage their education for promotion and career advancement. Approximately 15% of Sterling Style Academy on-location graduates are selected to enroll into The Apprentice Program to join the elite team of the Global Image Group consultants.
