Fashion Accessories by Zipell is a creative brand of Lebanese entrepreneur, Elissa Yared.
If you’re looking for fashion accessories that are cute, fun, and affordable, Zipell is the brand for you.
Why are fashion accessories important?
Fashion accessories are essential to pulling an outfit together. Your outfit could be basic and classic – like a white t-shirt and jeans. However when you accessorize your outfit with fun on trend pieces, you immediately elevate your casual wardrobe to an expression of casual creativity. In short, fashion accessories enable you to express your personality!
Who is Elissa Yared?

What is fashion accessories brand Zipell?
Question 1: What is Zipell?
Zipell is an online platform for fashion and accessories.
Four years ago, I travelled to Dubai and I attended Sterling Style Academy’s workshop: Image Consultant and Personal Stylist. At the end of the course, we got asked to create a brand, and I came up with the name Zip Up By Ell. Zip up means when you fasten with a zipper and Ell is derived from my name, Elissa. So when I decided to start this project earlier this summer, I abbreviated Zip Up By Ell by Zipell.
Question 2: Why did you decide to pursue a field that is not yours initially?
I’ve always been passionate about fashion and since I was a little girl. I always wanted to pursue a career in fashion but chance brought me to the food and beverage industry after my trip to Peru with my sister, 8 years ago, where I discovered my second passion: the Peruvian gastronomy. In 2013, I founded Cinco, the first Peruvian restaurant and cocktail bar and a year later, I founded Sapa, an internationally awarded Peruvian restaurant.
As for fashion, I’ve always wanted to turn my first passion into a concrete project but honestly I never had the time to work on it. At the beginning of this year (2021), there was a lockdown in Lebanon due to COVID, and we had to close our restaurants for more than 3 months, so I decided to grab the opportunity to launch Zipell.
Question 3: Who creates the designs?
Zipell combines a full range of selectively curated articles from around the world (headbands, bags, sunglasses, earrings, necklaces and more) and limited edition accessories designed by myself.
Question 4: Where are your point of sales?
Zipell is an online platform. We ship worldwide via our website: www.zipell.com
Question 5: Your fashion accessories are mainly casual. Do you plan on launching some accessories for more formal or special occasions?
Yes why not! I started by selecting/ designing fashion accessories for casual occasions but I’m planning to broaden the portfolio to include more evening occasions. It is important to keep in mind that the same accessory can be casual and formal at the same time, depending on your outfit.
Question 6: Why did you pick a female name for every piece that you sell?
Each fashion accessory is produced in limited quantities. This is why I gave a name to each item – to personalize it and make it feel “alive.”
Congratulations for launching Zipell
We want to congratulate Elissa Yared for launching her fashion brand. We encourage her to incorporate online personal styling services along with her fashion accessories brand to offer multiple types of services to her clientele in the future.
Why take the Sterling Style Academy if you want to start a fashion brand?
Our graduates have told us that the Sterling Style Academy has taught them so much about fashion that they didn’t even learn from accredited fashion schools or fashion colleges. Part of image consulting is learning how to develop a brand. Understanding the nuances of brand development are covered in Modules 1 – 3 as well as 16 and 18 of our 7-day or 2-week image consultant and personal stylist training program or during our instructor led online image consultant and personal stylist training program. Furthermore styling skills or styling services are also beneficial to brand owners to style their own photo shoots, style their clients with their products, and to develop multiple streams of business. Therefore fashion designers, boutique owners, and fashion influencers have attended the Sterling Style Academy to diversify their brands.
